Hair care

Remigirl Hair is dedicated to ensure that all of our customers are satisfied with their purchase. Complete gratification of our hair extensions can be achieved by the following hair care tips.

Before Installation:

Always wash the hair before installation. If there are any problems with the hair, you will be able to detect them at this time. Hold hair at the weft and wash in a vertical motion.

If you notice any problems, contact us immediately. If there are no problems with the hair within the first two weeks, it can be assumed that the hair is fine. If problems arise after two weeks, the problem does not lie in the hair or workmanship. Please feel free to contact us and we will try to help you resolve your situation.

Installation: Bulk Hair

  • All of our hair has the cuticle intact. Therefore, always take hair from the top where it is tied with string. NEVER take hair from the bottom of the bundle. When folding hair over to braid, the tail must be trimmed short, just below the tie-off.Machine & Hand Tied Wefts
  • Never sew through the top of the weft. Putting a needle through the weft will damage the wefts and cause shedding.
  • Machine Weft: Never cut any part of the top of the wefts without reinforcing the weft first. Hand-tied wefts are delicate and cannot be cut on any part of the top of the wefts. If they are cut, then we cannot guarantee that they will not shed.

Hair Care Products:

  • Use good quality products such as: Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, Dove Frizz Control Taming Cream for wavy and curly hair. Mixed Chicks leave-in Conditioner or Kera care products.
  • Use a good (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft. Don’t overdo it. Too much conditioner or any other hair care product can cause a build up and tangling.
  • Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes hair dry.
  • Avoid oil based products which can weigh down the hair.

Shampooing and Conditioning:

  • Shampoo at least once a week.
  • Wash the hair in a vertical motion. Do not massage or scrunch the hair up in your hands. Finger shampoo through the hair using a downward motion.
  • Rise out shampoo thoroughly.
  • Apply conditioner in a vertical motion, the same as when the shampoo was applied. Gently come condition hair starting from the ends all the way up to your scalp
  • Rise out conditioner thoroughly.
  • It is recommended to let the hair air dry naturally but you may use a blow dryer set on cool or low heat temperature.
  • Style as desired.

Coloring:

  • Color your natural hair the desired color before your extensions are applied. Your stylist will then color match your extensions to your new color to make your purchased hair look like the real thing.
  • Highlights can even be added by adding different colored extensions in the same randomness as highlights applied to hair pulled through a cap.
  • If your roots need a touch-up before you need to change your extensions, play it safe and leave the coloring to your stylist.
  • BLEACHING YOUR HAIR IS NOT RECOMMENDED. It is risky and uses harsh chemicals that can damage your hair.

Styling:

  • Always ask your stylist before attempting any styling techniques you are unsure about.
  • Chemical agents are widely used to add curl to straight hair and to loosen curls in curly hair. These products defeat the scalp and permanently alter the structure of the hair. These compounds can also cause severe hair loss from over processing. Never use perms or relaxers on damaged hair. If possible, allow the hair to regroup before introducing new chemical processes.
  • If you do color your hair, DEEP CONDITION with a good quality conditioner.

Swimming & Exercise:

  • Wash the hair immediately after swimming! When dirt and sweat accumulates, hair mattes, tangles, and becomes unmanageable.
  • Be sure to always wear a swim cap made of latex. Carefully comb out any tangles that may be present starting from the bottom and working your way up.
  • Once the hair has been detangled braid the hair in two braids to ensure that all of the hair is protected and tucked neatly under the cap.
  • Following your dip, be sure to wash your hair immediately to remove any damaging chemical that may have “snuck” under your cap.

Sleeping:

NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR. Make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.

If you follow all of the tips mentioned all will go well.

Regards,
